The scholarship may be used in approved schools or accredited online universities. The scholarship is not limited to a specific course and will instead cater to all majors. As for the eligibility rules, current high school seniors and degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate students, full or part-time, and welcomed to join the scholarship. You and your parents must all be Maryland residents or you must be enrolled at a two-year or four-year Maryland college. Full-time students must have 12 or more credit hours while part-time students must have 6-11 credits per semester. Note that students who are having their college education online may also apply for the scholarship.
In order to apply, you must first accomplish the Unique Major Application form which can be accessed in the official website of the scholarship stated above. According to the same website: “If your delegates make their own awards, you should call or write them for further instructions. The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) can provide a list of all State legislators. Some delegates ask OSFA to make awards for them. These awards are made on the basis of need as demonstrated on the FAFSA. If a delegate asks OSFA to make the awards, students must complete and file the FAFSA.”
